Laboratory Emergency Plan

All labs should prepare an emergency plan and all personnel should be familiar with information. This emergency plan should includ:

1. An inventory that includes the quantities and localities of entire flammable, pyrophoric, oxidizing, toxic, abrasive, reactive, radioactive materials, nonionizing radiation, biological materials, and compressed and liquefied gases.
2. A tabbed of guilty personnel who are designated and trained to be liaison personnel for the fire department or other emergency responders. Prepare a lab contingency layout that meets your specific needs.
