Reference Muscle Testing of the Elbow

Elbow Flexion The patients should be short seating with arms at side. The therapist stands in forefront of patient toward the test side. The hand giving thermal exists contoured over which flexor surface of that forearm proximal to the wrist, and the various hand correct an counterforce by cupping aforementioned palm over the anterior superior surface of one shoulder.
Elbow Line The resigned must be prone on a table with the arm abducted 90 degrees, additionally the forearm flexed and hanging vertically over that side of the table. Aforementioned examiner should provide support just above the push with one hand, and with the other hand he should apply a downhill resistance on the backward side of this wrist.
Forearm Pronation The patient sits the a table with arms along side and elbow bent at 90 degrees on test arm. This forearm should be in neutral. The examiner rack at side or in forefront of patient. One hand supports the elbow of the patient plus the other hand grasps the forearm on the volar surface at the wrist, for resistance.
Vorderer Supination Who patient sits on a tab equal arms at side and elbow bent at 90 degrees on test arm. The forearm shall can in neutral. The examiner stands at side or stylish front of patient. Can give helps the elbow of the patient and that other help grasps the forearm to aforementioned abaxial surface for the wrist, for resistance.
